When is the studio open?
The studio is open Tuesday to Sunday. We are closed on Mondays.
Can I get a studio tour?
Yes! Pick a date and time here and we can show you our facilities.
How do I get to the studio?
Our address is 430 Carroll St, Brooklyn. Once you arrive at Carroll and Nevins St, you will essentially be in the middle of the East and West towers of 420 Carroll St complex.
Start walking south into the plaza (towards Powerhouse Arts) with the East tower (436 Carroll St) on your left and the West tower (424 Carroll St) on your right. You will see the Welcome sign for Hey Clay Pottery Studio in front of you at the end of the plaza with the entrance to the studio on the left of the sign.
You can also follow the pin on Google Maps which gets you directly to the entrance.
If you are driving: Gowanus is under a lot of construction these days. Please plan for at least 15 mins of additional travel time to find parking, especially during regular business hours.
What are your Open studio hours?
Unlimited monthly recurring and punchcard members: 12:01 am Tuesday to 11:59 pm Sunday
Weekday monthly recurring member: 12:01 am Tuesday to 11:59 pm Friday
Weekend monthly recurring member: 12:01 am Saturday to 11:59 pm Sunday
Foundations student: 9 AM to 9 PM Tuesday to Sunday
Do you offer classes for beginners?
Yes! Our beginner level classes are an 8-week program called Foundations. Here here to know more.
Do you plan to offer programming for kids?
For now, our programming will be for adults but we do plan to introduce programming for kids in the future.
Where do I find information on private sessions/events?
Email us at frontdesk@heyclay.studio with your specific request! Please mention number of people, goals for the session, desired technique etc.
